You’ve probably heard of the Coca-Cola Scholarship program, but if you haven’t the following guide will help you understand the application process. The Coca-Cola Company is renowned for helping prospective college students’ pay for higher education. Each year, 50 students are given $20,000 scholarships, while 200 additional students are given $10,000 scholarships.

These scholarships are designed for high school seniors who will be attending an accredited college or university, and will be distributed over four years ($5,000 per year for the $20,000 scholarships, and $2,500 per year for the $10,000 scholarship.)

In order to be eligible, you must be a high school senior (home-schooled seniors may also apply,) and a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident. Temporary residents may also apply; see website for further details.

Additionally, you must have a 3.0 GPA overall and plan to attend a post-secondary institution. Finally, you cannot be a child or grandchild of anyone who works for the Coca-Cola Company or any of their subsidiaries.

Interested students should apply online from September 1 to October 31 of their senior year. The first application is merely a preliminary application; if your application advances, you will have to elaborate on your activities, educational goals, etc.

Keep in mind that these scholarships are only available to students who will be attending a 4-year institution of higher learning. The company also offers two-year scholarships, in the amount of $1,000.

To apply for a two-year scholarship, you must have an overall GPA of 2.5, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and employed part time or involved in some sort of volunteer work.

For further information about the Coca-Cola scholarship opportunities, please visit their website. You will find additional information about the application process, eligibility requirements, and award amounts.

Good luck!
